Greetings, and welcome to the Macabre Writers Club. Here at the MWC, we focus on any medium of horror literature, be it stories, scripts, poems, etc. It’s all here friends. If you have any questions, I may answer using either the club account or as ~TonyHex. You may also be answered by ~luigiwannabe or *Slainmonkey. Have fun!


~JOINING~

1.) Send a note to the club or any of the deviants mentioned above. The subject must “Joining”.
2.) Upon receiving the note, your gallery will be inspected. If your work complies to the guidelines, then you may join.
3.) If you are accepted, we ask that you watch the club and put our icon in your journal to advertise the club further.
4.) If your work does not comply to the guidelines, then you may not join.


~GALLERY SUBMISSIONS~

In order to submit one of your works to the gallery, you must be a member. You may only submit one piece per week. Staff may not submit works to the gallery.

1.) Send a note with the subject “Gallery” with a link to your submission.
2.) When the note is received, the submission will be put in the club gallery.


~CONTESTS~

Every now and again, the club will hold a contest. In every contest, there will be a specific theme or keyword which the contest entries will revolve around. Depending on how well you do, you may receive points. For more about points and ranks, please continue reading.

Before this club holds any contests, we need more members. Once the club is up to at least 15-20 members, a contest will be held.


~CONTEST SUBMISSIONS~

In order to submit an entry to a contest, you must be a member. You may only submit one entry per contest, Staff may not enter contests.

1.) Send a note with the subject “Contest” with a link to your entry.
2.) If it fits the theme of the contest, your entry will be entered.


~POINTS/RANKING SYSTEM~

Depending on how active you are in the club, you will recieve points. Whenever you get a certain amount of points, you will receive a rank. This system is just for fun.

Here are the points you can get for specific actions:

Joining ~ 5 pts.
Gallery and/or Contest Submission ~ 10 pts.
First Place in a contest ~ 50 pts.
Second Place in a Contest ~ 30 pts.
Third Place in a Contest ~ 20 pts.


Here are the possible ranks:

20 pts. ~ Lurker
80 pts. ~ Madman
140 pts. ~ Mental Patient
200 pts. ~ Escaped Killer
260 pts. ~ Master of the Dark Arts
320 pts. ~ Resurrecter of the Dead
380 pts. ~ Demon Summoner
440 pts. ~ Hell Master
500 pts. ~ Almighty Dark Overlord


~RULES~

~ Any racism, sexism, or discrimination of any kind will result in instant banning.
~ Must have decent English, grammar, and spelling.
~ Always treat members and staff with respect.
~ Only true horror writers are accepted into the club. No Goth/wrist slasher crap.
~ All work must address the darker side of fantasy or the supernatural.
